Appears this butterfly is a Red Admiral. Found in moist woodlands, the red admiral caterpillar's primary host plant is the stinging nettle or the false nettle. The adult butterfly drinks from flowering plants....like milkweed.

I have so many, I’m not cutting the fields until they all fly and hatch! Just the ten feet close to neighbors until they are all there. My ambrosia tree has not bloomed the blue butterflies somehow ate on the tree! By the farm stand.

The relocating in beavers at the Kentlands has caused a huge change at the lakes
