Workshop: Transforming Your Yard into a Healthy Habitat

If you have walked by the Butterfly Commons at Lakelands, you may have noticed one example of a Healthy Habitats or Eco-Functioning Spaces. They are good for the environment and for you!   

Come learn about easy methods to help you turn your own yard into a Healthy Habitat using native plants that will attract butterflies and birds, help to manage stormwater and bring you joy at this Urban Ecosystem Restorations event.

Topics include low-cost site preparation, plant selection and acquisition, dealing with deer, strategies to reduce maintenance needs, where to get additional help and a question-and-answer forum.
