Rich Branch Tributary Restoration Planned.

Sunday, December 15, 2013 - 8:41pm

Flints Grove community learned about Rich Branch Tributary stream restoration from Don Dorsey of Montgomery County Government this past week. This project will have a real impact on local water quality after completion in 2015. The goal of the project is to upgrade a dry pond, to a newer style of wetpond, which will more effectively treat the stormwater runoff from this area along the Muddy Branch.  They will also be raising the degraded stream bed and putting in a number of step pools, really some innovative techniques to restore this area that has slowly been degraded since the area was build out.  Check out the planning document by clicking here.
