Montgomery Parks is currently accepting applications for a 60-hour, hands-on Maryland Master Naturalist training program next spring.

Participants in the eight-week program will receive instruction in natural history fields such as geology, ornithology, botany and entomology, as well as environmental interpretation and conservation stewardship. Graduates from the training program will join other volunteers providing education, outreach and service to protect and steward natural resources in Maryland.

Training will take place at Brookside Nature Center in Wheaton. The program costs $250, and registration ends Jan. 24. Download an application at brooksidenature.org.
