Muddy Branch Recognized

Saturday, April 25, 2015 - 10:36am

We have received several awards in April.

We received an Achievement Award at the Gaithersburg Environmental Awards ceremony, and we were honored with other local environmental groups, including the Kentlands Go Green Group, but also local businesses who try to keep their products and services as eco-friendly as possible.

We also received the City of Gaithersburg's Organization of the Year, and we got a plaque signed by Mayor Jud Ashman, as well as recognition from Senator Cheryl Kagan and from Congressman Chris Van Hollen.

Jennie Howland expressed thanks to all the volunteers who make this organization what it is. "This award really shows that the hard work that we've been putting in has been noticed and recognized, and I really wanted to extend my thanks and congratulations to everybody."
