2013 TREES MATTER SYMPOSIUM

Saturday, October 12, 2013 - 12:03pm

Trees are invaluable; they cleanse and cool our air, stabilize our soils, treat stormwater, provide wildlife habitat and beautify our urban and suburban streets. Given what we know about the importance of trees, we must do all that we can to ensure their survival in our built environment. Attend the second annual Trees Matter Conference to learn from some of the country’s leading experts about innovative efforts to plant, protect and preserve trees in urban and suburban settings.

On November 20, from 8am to 4 pm, Trees Matter 2013 symposium will explore multiple aspects of trees in our county.  We will have a display there and be attending to hear all about the recent news on trees.  It is ideal for arborists, municipal employees, landscape industry professionals, designers, engineers, green industry employees and anyone interested in the latest research on trees.  This event is organized by The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission, Montgomery Parks’ Horticulture, Forestry and Environmental Education Division.  Click here to check out the attached flyer for full details!
